Welcome Adventurers! Daggerbrain has been cooking over the last month and I can’t wait to see what you create for your Daggerheart games with these updates.

Character Sheet Improvements

My mission with Daggerbrain has always been to bring the great digital tools that we have for D&D into the world of Daggerheart. So I’m excited to announce that character sheets have been massively improved with a new D&D Beyond-style UI and many quality-of-life updates.

Interactive Downtime Actions

Instead of manually updating your character sheet when your character does Downtime, you can now roll dice and automatically apply the results to your character. This speeds up some of the bookkeeping and lets you get back to the fun at your table.

Impactful Death Moves

Character death is a super impactful moment of a campaign and deserves special attention, especially in Daggerheart where you can go out in a Blaze of Glory or Risk it All to save your allies.

Once your character’s HP is maxed out, there is a new Death Move screen that walks you through these impactful moments. And if your character does die, their death is enshrined with subtle custom UI depending on which Death Move you chose.

The “Avoid Death” move also brings support for Scars. I hope you never have to use this feature in-game though!

Massive Damage, Custom Conditions, and more…

In your character settings, you can now enable the Massive Damage optional rule, which visually adds a new damage threshold equal to double your severe damage threshold.

There have also been many small user experience improvements, including improved card interactions, a new look for Conditions with the ability to add your own custom conditions, and a laundry list of bug fixes and stability improvements.

Finally, you can now stay up-to-date with Daggerbrain in the Community section of the new header. There you can see recent articles, socials, the changelog, and more.
