Merry Christmas and happy 2026!
It’s been a wild few weeks since the launch of Daggerbrain and in that time more than 500 characters have been created, lots of bugs and fixes were implemented, and the new homebrew feature was launched. I’ve received so much awesome feedback from people all over the world, thank you for all the support!
And things haven’t slowed down… So today, I am super excited to announce the most requested new feature for Daggerbrain since its inception:
Campaigns are here!
Campaigns make managing your game simpler for both players and GMs. Whether you just want to share your character sheet with the group or you need a single place to manage fear, countdowns, character sheets, and share homebrew items, campaigns make it happen.
- Invite your friends to join the campaign using characters you created or let them bring their own.
- The integrated Fear tracker lets you keep your pile of fear hidden or reveal it directly on your players’ character sheets so that they know just how dangerous the situation is.
- Live updating character previews make checking Stress, Hope, HP, or Armor Slots a breeze.
- Create Countdowns and choose if you want to share them with your players or keep them hidden.
- With the Homebrew Vault feature, you can make your homebrew items available to the characters in your campaign.
If you want to help give the feedback that drives development of features like this, join the Discord! People like you make a huge difference!
So what’s next?
This update represents a huge milestone for Daggerbrain and for me really. This is the first project of mine that has really taken off in a way that goes beyond my own circle of family and friends. And I’m really excited for the opportunity to help design the tools that Daggerheart GMs and players will use for years to come.
So I guess what I wanted to say is that there is much more to come and I cannot wait to share it with you!
Oh… and one more thing.
I have doubled the character limit from 3 to 6 and increased the homebrew limit from 5 to 20. Go have fun!
If you or someone you know has connections at Darrington Press, I would love your help so that we can get Daggerbrain added to the official VTT whitelist. You can reach me at marc@daggerbrain.com.
